I mainly use these slanted risers for doing lunges during video exercises. I also like how they can be used as an incline bench-much more comfortable and safer than using the step propped upon a riser. The risers are easily stacked on the step risers for storage. The DVD is a nice surprise with a low impact step routine using the risers. If you have an existing club step and use it often then this is a worthwhile addition for expanding you exercising options.

i was extremely pleased to find more elements to add to my step routines, these slanted risers pretty much rock, no negative side effects! the dvd is pretty fun, i only wish there were more dvds and challenges available for slanted riser work-outs! i use the risers along with THE FIRM step dvds too, (not the same step board as THE STEP!) but the slanted risers allow you to mimic the incline of their step board! all in all good times!!

These really hold my step in place when I do weights on my riser. I highly recommend it.

I bought these risers about a year-and-a-half ago, mostly to turn my step bench into a slanted bench so I could do chest exercises on an incline and decline. While I mostly use the risers in that way, like other reviewers, I also use them for doing lunges, and they work great for both. Amazon also has the best price around for these, especially with the free shipping.

Like the regular base risers for the step, these slanted risers are sturdy and solid, and I never feel unstable. Fitness Fan also mentioned her review that you need to be careful in how you place these: to get them to work with my bench and be stable, I need to place three regular risers on one side + a slanted riser, and then then one slanted riser on the other side. If you don’t do so, you’ll be wobbling all over, which can be dangerous.

The DVD that comes with these risers is also a nice bonus, and gives some fun ideas for using them.

Overall, these provide nice versatility and allow me to use my step bench as a weight bench for doing weight-training exercises.
